Children drama festival to be held in Dibrugarh

DIBRUGARH, July 11: The Children Drama Festival will be held here at District Library Auditorium from July 23 to July 25 under the aegis of Asom Jatiya tya Parishad (AJNP), a troop for Theatrical Expedition. The Badla Bheta Tea Estate Xahitya Got (literature group), Doomdooma, a branch of Asom Jatiya tya Parishad will stage Hamder Tejimola. The drama in colloquial language of tea community will be directed by Jayanta Dutta.  Bishnur Darpachur and Sumudhur Sumangal will be staged on the second day of the festival. Bishnur Darpachur, written by Pradip Bora and produced by the AJNP, will be directed jointly by Bishnu Gohain and Usha Dutta while Fehujali tya Gosthi of AJNP produced Sumudhur Sumangal will be directed by Jayanta Dutta. The third day’s drama will be Aha jao omologoi, written and directed by  Adi Anta Phukan Three prominent drama artistes will be felicitated by AJNP on the iugural day function. A souvenir will also be released on the occasion. The iugural function will be graced by noted cine artist Chet Das, former AXX president, Dr gen Saikia, prominent dramatist, well known poet Rafiqul Hussain and others.
