Children's Day celebrated by Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan

Dibrugarh, November 15: Along with the rest of the country,  the birth anniversary of the  tion’s first Prime Minister, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, was  observed as Children’s Day,  by Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan (NYKS) with a colorful programme at Jokai Kolioni Village, in association with Jokai Rupjyoti Sangha, on November 14.  The day is also commemorated as the foundation day of NYKS , which was established on this day 44 years back. To celebrate the occasion of Children’s Day,a spot painting  competition was organized among the children , which was administer by the general secretary of Jokai Rupjyoti Sangha, Bhadrasen Sonowal and was attended as resource persons  by the  Director of United Rural Self Employment Training Institution, Dibrugarh, Amitabj Bhattacharjee ; Field Officer of Bharatiya Yuva Shakti Trust , Dibrugarh,  Arpan Dip Das and  District Youth  Coorditor in Charge , Bedabrata Bhuyan Later, in their respective deliberations, the speakers talked about the different schemes of the respective organizations and called upon the youths to avail the benefit of these schemes in respect of income generation. Under the Distribution of Sports Materials to Youth Clubs Scheme, sports materials were distributed to the selected youth clubs by tiol Youth Volunteers of Nehru Yuva Kendra, Dibrugarh, Purnima Sonowal and Mun Yadav. Apart from the youth club members and local people of Kolioni village, the programme was attended amongst others by the president of Jokai Rupjyoti Sangha (JPS), Tonkeswar Sonowal and volunteer  Ranja Das.
