Chirang police on lookout for missing persons

KOKRAJHAR, September 19: Chirang police are looking out for missing persons in the district after receiving FIR of their disappearance.

The Superintendent of Police, Chirang, informed that Laxmita Islary (23), wife of Bilifang Islary of Kolobari village under Dhaligaon PS of Chirang district, was missing from August 27 as reported by her husband. On receipt of the information, a case was lodged at Dhaligaon PS vide GDE No. 870 on August 29 and investigation has started for tracing her. The missing woman is of medium built with fair complexion. Any person having knowledge and whereabouts of the missing woman can inform OC, Dhaligaon PS at 03664-241262.

In another case, the SP said one Harekrish Roy (14), son of Biswath Roy of Bijoygaon village under Basugaon PS of Chirang district, is also missing since September 4, as reported by his father. On receipt of the information, a case was registered at Basugaon PS vide GDE No. 135 on September 9 and investigation has started.
