Choir group to participate in reality show

SHILLONG, Dec 22: A 22-member choir group consisting of mostly young students from Meghalaya has been selected to participate in the live TV Mega Audition to be televised at Colors channel for a reality show called ‘Rising Star’ to be held in Mumbai early next year. The choir christened ‘Thy Miracle Choir’ mostly packed in their arsel a new brand of choir rhythm consisting of both traditiol folk music and a spice of modern tunes.  Informing that the total expenditure for the trip to Mumbai comes to around Rs. 9 lakh which include transportation, fooding and lodging, costume, traveling in Mumbai etc., All Meghalaya Dancers Association (AMDA) president Kit Thabah said, “As of right now we have yet to receive any fincial aid from anyone. However, we have decided to seek an appointment with the Chief Minister Mukul Sangma on December 23, to discuss on matters concerning the auditions in Mumbai.” The Choir group was selected to take part in the Mega Audition in Mumbai after performing exceptiolly well during the South West Got Talent organized by Kit. The platform helped the youths of the region to showcase their talents. Meanwhile, the Choir group leader Pynskemborlang Kharjarin said, “We urge the NGOs, local representatives of various district and constituency to help in providing fincial assistance for their trip so that we can bring laurel to the state.”
