Chondo Niketan's gala event on August 14

SILCHAR, July 30: Chondo Niketan, affiliated to Surondan Bharati, is a Silchar based training centre for recitation. Chondo Niketan will organize a gala event of recitation, song and dance on the eve of the country’s 71st Independence Day at 6.30 pm at Gandhi Bhawan of this town.

The programme titled ‘Shruti Kvya Shondhya’ will be graced by the presence of Kolkata based renowned vocal artiste Amita Ghosh Roy and Dharmagar based vocal artiste Indrani Chakraborty.  A group recitation titled ‘Sulolito Dhani’ and a poetry writing session will also be held. Both Amita Ghosh Roy and Indrani Chakraborty will recite poems. ‘Kavya Nritye Swadesh’ will be performed on the stage. This information has been shared at a press-release on Saturday.

In addition to this, students of Chondo Niketan will perform ‘Swadesh Vanda’ and render beautiful songs in the section titled ‘Amar Janmo Bhoomi’. The concept and direction has been given by Debanjan Mukherjee, trainer and president of Chondo Niketan. Patriotism will be the underlying theme of the event. Shibam Das, Satarupa Choudhury and Sweta Roy will conduct, coordite and participate in recitation, singing and dancing items respectively. The whole programme will be conducted under the guidance and help of Hrishikesh Chakraborty. Adhisthita Sharma will be directing the whole event.
