Chris Jordan keen to play in IPL

Sydney, March 12: England's bowling allr-ounder Chris Jordan says he would love to play in the cash-rich Indian Premier League (IPL), as such competitive tourments help in lifting one's game. "Most people would like to take up the opportunity to play in IPL....Playing in those leagues do improve cricketers and if I do get the opportunity I'd love to play," Jordan was quoted as saying by sports24.co.za on Thursday.

The 24-year-old hard hitting batsman, lively seamer and outstanding fielder said he was now in no position to say what impact IPL may have on his game.

"Do I feel disadvantaged? It's hard to say because I haven't played in that league to know how it would effect my game."

Jordan has played 21 One-day-Intertiols, claiming 35 wickets and seven Twenty20 matches picking up nine scalps.

Recently the England and Wales Cricket Board (WICB) has come out in support of IPL. It allowed skipper Eoin Morgan to miss the ODI against Ireland on May 8 after he was selected by the Sunrisers Hyderabad during last month's IPL auction. IANS
