chung optimistic in winning Smart City race

Itagar, April 3: IMC deputy chief councilor and in-charge of Itagar Smart City project after submitting the proposal to UD Ministry here expected success in winning the race.
The project envisions area based development (ABD) and pan city solutions capable of changing the face of state capital, he informed over telephone on Sunday.
chung, who led a team including town planning & ULB director A Morang, IMC CMEO Habung Lampung, EE Tadar Tarang & GoAP engaged PWC consultants,  said that Aruchal Pradesh was not given chance to take part in earlier competitive rounds.
However, constant support of the state government headed by Chief Minister Pema Khandu, Union MoS (Home Affairs) Kiren Rijiju, state’s UD Minister bam Rebia, former CM bam Tuki and proactive guidance of chief secretary, Capital DC and HoDs besides the support of citizens, NGOs and media persons facilitated in formation of a pragmatic proposal, he said. Enlisting the preparation process, he said workshops involving various stakeholders, online & offline engagement of citizens, ABD polling, competitions and road shows to sensitize the masses led to incorporation of public aspirations the way they want their city, which gives confidence for success in first attempt.
He made special mention of local MLA-cum-Parliamentary Secretary Techi Kaso, IMC team led by chief councilor Kipa Kaku for round the clock supportive endeavors for the proposal to excel. However, he expected that such cooperation would continue after getting the project to transform Itagar to one of cleanest and Smart City.
