Cinema hall worker commits suicide

HAMREN, July 17: A person identified as Mongol Kro (35), son of Amsi Kro of Parokhowa Riso Rongpi village, and currently residing at DC colony under Diphu Town Outpost, committed suicide by hanging himself at the rear stall entrance of Galaxy Cinema Hall on the night of July 15.

The deceased man had been working as a sweeper in the cinema hall and was suspected to be suffering from depression and other diseases, sources said.

According to mager of the cinema hall, Dhiren Singh, Mongol Kro was employed as a part-time sweeper with a wage of Rs. 50 per day. He also mentioned that he was at the hall together with Singh and six other employees in the morning at around 6 am might have committed suicide when all the other employees went out to have breakfast. Singh also clarified that he did not know of any reason that might have led Kro to take the extreme step and also said that all employees had good terms with each other. The police reached the spot immediately to collect information before filly sending the body for autopsy.
