CIT student dies in road mishap

KOKRAJHAR, October 9: A 4th year student of Central Institute of Technology (CIT), Kokrajhar died and another student seriously injured in a road mishap on the new fly over here this morning.

According to police, Jangila Basumatary, a 4th year student died and another 3rd year student identified as Anjima Ramchiary, was seriously injured when the motorcycle they were traveling ramped at the railing of the fly over.

They were taken to MRM hospital in Kokrajhar but Jangila succumbed to his injuries. Sources said Jangila, who stays in a rented house picked up Anjima from her hostel before heading towards the road when the incident took place.
