Haflong, July 30: With the rest of Assam, the final draft of the National Register of Citizens (NRC) was released on Monday in Dima Hasao through as many as 28 NRC Seva Kendra. At Haflong, at 10 am the final draft of NRC was released in all the six NSKs amidst tight security. Though prohibitory order under Section 144 of CrPC has been imposed in the districts as a precautionary measure, the district of Dima Hasao was the most peaceful district with no report of any untoward incident.

As many as 2,08,000 people had applied and NRC officials here are yet to inform about the number of people whose names have been left out. But it is presumed that a very negligible number of people in Dima Hasao have been excluded from the NRC final draft.
