GUWAHATI, Aug 29: baarun Barooah, a student of Faculty Higher Secondary School, participated in the Indian Intertiol Model United tions conference in the United States of America and secured a Best Delegate award. In the conference which commenced on August 15, at the United tions headquarters in New York City, he outshined 300 of the world’s best speakers from many globally acclaimed institutions from around the globe. A previous winner of both regiol and tiol level conferences, baarun secured his fourth Best Delegate award, this time in the intertiol podium. He is the son of Pallavi Barooah and grandson of Jogesh Ch. Barooah and Debika Barooah of Uzanbazar. baarun, a diploma in art and crafts, a Sangeet Visharad in Indian classical music, an enthusiastic guitarist, and a speaker of foreign languages such as French, was teamed up with David Das from Faculty Higher Secondary School and Aaswash Mahanta from Sivasagar, stated a press release.
