GUWAHATI, March 17: City Cricket Club defeated Gauhati Town Club by 7 wickets in the  Bhupen  Chandra Mahanta GSA 'A' Division Cricket League match held at the Nehru stadium here today. It was batting that ruined Gauhati Town club to face such a huge defeat. Invited to bat, Gauhati Town club were bowled out 110 runs in 28 overs.  Except yan Deka, (33) no other batsmen of the team were successful to stay on the wicket for a long period. City Cricket club scored the winning runs in 31 overs losing three wickets. Surinder Singh remained not out 41 (52 balls. 4X6) while Debashish Saikia contributed unbeaten 35 runs on the board.
