GUWAHATI, Jan 15: Guwahati is all set to launch the 1st Indian Edition of ‘Generation Games’ which will be held on January 17. Altogether 14 intertiol sport and 3 ethnic Assamese games will be held in the Games. Siben Dutta, President of Akshayam which will host the event, said, the ‘Generation Games’ is a unique concept that encourages inter-generatiol participation in sport and recreatiol games. By playing together, the young and the elderly will share experiences and ideas with one another. There will be two paraolympic sports – Bocce and Wheel Chair Basketball along with two new sport– Korfball and Parkour. The other events are Archery, Basketball, Blitz Chess, Boxing, Climbing, Futsal, Martial Arts, Roller Skating, Shot Put, Table Tennis, Marble in Spoon Race, Tekeli Bhonga and Three Legged Race.
