City to host professiol fighting league on Sunday

GUWAHATI, Mar 3: Guwahati will host the professiol fighting competition-Trans V Bidang Fight League- on March 5. The meet will be held at the Bhogeswari Phukani Indoor Stadium.

Disclosing the news to the media a key official of organizing committee Diganta Barman today said,” Professiol fighting league is a competition of Mixed Martial Arts. Apart from India, fighters from USA, UK, Laos and Africa will participate in the meet.”

He also added: “There will be altogether 13 fights on that day. Among them five will be for professiol fighters while rest of the competition is open for amateur fighters. There will be seven fighters from Assam in that competition and they are Mash Daimary, Mash Das, Ritesh Paswan, Bulbul Bora, Santanu Barua, Rupjyoti Choudhury and Dhrubajyoti Deka.”

Meanwhile the organizers today also released the price of the ticket and a theme song for the competition. There will be two types of tickets- Rs 100 and Rs 500.On the other hand the Theme Song was directed by Ranjib Das and Debajit Choudhury and lyricist is Arun Mahanta.

The media briefing was also attended by CEO of the fight League A K Mahanta and Mixed Martial Art fighter and coach Bhabajeet Choudhury.
