City to host tiol Ranking TT from Nov 15

GUWAHATI, Nov 9: Assam Table Tennis Association (ATTA) will organize tiol Ranking Table Tennis championship at the Deshbhakta Tarun Ram Phukan Indoor stadium from November 15.More than 900 paddlers from the different parts of the country are expected to take part in the tourment.

Addressing a media gathering Rakibul Hussain, the president of the Assam Table Tennis Association, said almost all current and few former tiol Champions will participate in the forthcoming tourment. Among the stars whom will be seen in action during the meet are present tiol champion Mouma Das, Anthony Amalraj, K Shamini, Soumyadeep Roy along with one of the most promising player of the country and Assam lad Birdie Boro,

Tridib Duvarah, the secretary of the Assam Table Tennis Association, informed the media that the championship carries a prize fund of Rs 6 lakh and cash award will be given from the quarter fil stage. He also added, the fils of the men and women singles will be held on November 18. It will be followed by youth and junior event along with sub junior and cadet categories. Arju awardee paddler from Assam Molisa Baruah Mehta and Dhanraj Choudhury, the secretary General of TTFI, are expected to be present in Guwahati during the meet.
