Civet captured, later released

JORHAT, Feb 10: Forest guards from Jorhat forest division along with local people of Atalia goan area caught hold of a civet which had created terror in the minds of people since many days. It had eaten ducks and hens and people were spending sleepless nights suspecting it to be a leopard, said Tonkasor Gayon, a forest official. The civet was later released at Gibbon Wildlife Sanctuary under Mariani Forest Range.
