Civic action programme launched

SHILLONG, Feb 26: In the series of various civic action programmes organized by BSF in the border area, 73 Bn of the BSF has organized a Civic Action Programmes for the border population at BOP Gumagahat near Ranikore of district South West Khasi Hills. BSF has come up with a novel idea of Civic Action Programme wherein the young population of the border will likely be benefitted in the long run. Keeping this in view, the BSF has also established two computer labs in border area, one at BOP Gumaghat and the other at BOP Karaigora. These labs will run under the supervision of BSF instructors for the youths of border area. Risal Singh, DIG of Shillong HQ of the BSF iugurated the CAP in the presence of the deputy commissioner and the superintendent of police of South West Khasi Hills district.
