Silchar, Jan 29: The 68th Republic Day has been celebrated jointly by the members of Bishnupriya Manipuri Gasangram Parishad (BMGSP), Mahila Sangstha, Sainik Sangstha and Diploma Holders’ Association at the central office of Late Kaliprasad Memorial Divyashram Sanskriti Kendra with patriotic fervour. The celebration began with the hoisting of the tri-colour by Gaurav Rajkumar, president, Nikhil Bishnupriya Manipuri Students Union (NBMSU) at 7 in the morning. Later, various speakers spoke about the significance of R-Day.
Among others present at the programme, included, chief advisor Rajkumar Anilkrish, advisors, Gopidas Sinha and Subol Sinha, Tombokse Singha, general secretary, central committee, BMGSP, Santosh Sinha, assistant general secretary, NBMSU, Rajdeep Sinha, assistant general secretary, BMGSP, Bimal Sinha, general secretary, BMGSP, Sanjoy Sinha, president, Meherpur Anchalik Committee Students Union, Bishal Sinha, Shingari Unit Committee Students Union, Rajesh Sinha, member, NBMSU and Shailesh Sinha, president, Bishnupriya Manipuri Bekaar Sangstha. They also celebrated the birth anniversary of the iconic leader, Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose. Members of these civic bodies and Central Advisory Board paid floral tributes to the great Netaji. All the speakers threw light on Netaji’s selfless love and dedication for the country.
