Civil Administration Day organized in Goalpara

Goalpara, April 20:  With a view to provide better administrative service to the public and to bridge the gap between the two, a two-day Civil Administration Day (CAD) was initiated in the district on Monday. The programme was iugurated by JVN Subramanyam, Deputy Commissioner of Goalpara, at the Balija Gaon Panchayat (GP) office. Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner informed the gathering that for suggestions and grievances, a complaint box would be kept in all the 81GPs of the district. ANI Hussain Bora, CEO, Zila Parishad, Farouk Alom, ADC and many other officers were present in the programme. Later, a team of frontline officers, including ADCs Ashim Sarma and Farouk Alom, Circle officers,  Manjit Borkotoky, PD Goswami, Shyamanta Rabibara and FA Sheikh visited the 200 bedded- Bhalukdubi Civil Hospital and took stock of the services being provided to the patients. Hospital Superintendent Dr Nilmadhav Das and Shabaa Choudhury, DPM of NHM appraised the team of the facilities available in the hospital. Meanwhile, Dhiman Choudhury, executive officer, Goalpara Municipality, said  that the CAD would be observed in all the 19 wards of the town on Tuesday. An iugural function  in this regard  has been arranged at Axom Club at 10am on the same day.
