LAKHIMPUR: April 23: Along with the other parts of the nation, the Civil Service Day was observed recently in Lakhimpur district too. On the occasion, a meeting was convened in the conference hall of the Lakhimpur Deputy Commissioner’s office at 5 pm and it was chaired by DC Dr. Jeevan B. “The purpose for the Civil Service Day is to rededicate and recommit the civil servants to the cause of the people. This day gives them the opportunity for introspection and thinking about future strategies to deal with the challenges being posed by the changing time,” said the DC in his lecture. He appealed the officers to serve the common people with dedication for their genuine betterment.
