Civil society group calls for foolproof policy

Itagar, Oct 3: The Aruchal Civil Society (ACS) has called for a foolproof policy in appointment of OSDs and deputation of officers to other departments to ensure that parent department does not suffer. While many lecturers and teachers are being appointed as OSDs and deputed to other departments in various capacities, their parent department tends to face lack of manpower, it said in a release questioning the reason behind making such appointments. Not only this, even Ministers, MLAs and Officers are keeping OSDs whereas Government has sufficient PSs, PSOs, SPAs, PAs who are well versed with official matter, ACS further said.
