Civil society group worried over Dalai Lama's visit

FROM OUR CORRESPONDENT

ITAGAR, April 10: The Aruchal Civil Society (ACS) while welcoming the decision of Chief Minister Kalikho Pul to welcome Tibetan spiritual guru the 14th Dalai Lama’s visit to the state, has asked the state government to make sure that his visit does not create tension between the Indo-Sino relationships.

“The ACS has no objection on his holiness’s visit, but we would like to urge the state government to make sure that in case any problem arises from Chi’s end, then both the state and Central government should be able to take necessary step to ease the tension,” a statement from ACS chairman Patey Tayum said while seeking the reason of Dalai Lama’s visit.
