CJM Court sentences 3

Shillong, June 9: The Court of Chief Judicial Magistrate, Shillong on June 8, 2015 passed an order of conviction of on three separate cases on Tuesday. One Mithu Dhar (28), son of Sachindra Dhar of Nongrim Hills, Laitumkhrah, has been sentenced to one year and six months of imprisonment in a case where the convict along with 2 other accomplices had forcibly taking away a motorcycle bearing registration No. ML08-B-0713 and cash Rs 1200 from the victim, Clemenstone Ch. Marak. In another judgment, theĀ  CJM Court convicted Shan Pyrbot, sentencing him for six months. He was involved in a case in Lumdeingjri police station (03(1)15 u/s 380 IPC.) The third conviction made by CJM is on Bulbul Ahmed Chaudhary, a Bangladeshi tiol, with a simple imprisonment of 70 days under Section 14 of the Foreigners Act.
