Clash between AIUDF supporters in Boko constituency

Boko, March 6: In an election meeting, where central observers of AIUDF were present to select the AIUDF candidate for Boko constituency, a crowd of people, along with supporters of Nitish Das, probable candidate from Boko, allegedly attacked supporters of Gopi Das, the local MLA under trial for molesting a minor girl. Supporters of Nitish Das said that Gopi Das should not be considered as a candidate as the allegation against him was of a serious ture and the people would not tolerate this. They said that if the AIUDF high command gave party ticket to Gopi Das or anybody under trial, they would quit the party.
