Clean India Awareness Campaign organized

MANGALDAI, July 29: The Army Camp at Chapai organized a Clean India Awareness Campaign followed by a day-long medical and health check-up camp at village Moamari Chapori on Tuesday.

As a continuation of the noble cause initiated by the Prime Minister, Army Camp Chapai has played a substantial role in spreading awareness regarding health and hygiene in the area. Around 600 people from Moarmari Chapori and nearby villages were called to follow the tenets of cleanliness in their daily affairs. The need for cleanliness which would play a major role in bringing about an attitudil change towards overall cleanliness was emphasized.

The awareness campaign and medical camp was well received with an overwhelming response from the local population. More than 1,500 patients were benefitted from it. The medicines were provided by the Army as well as the Director of Health Services, Mangaldai. The Health Department of Mangaldai also extended assistance by providing the services of their skilled doctors. The civil administration with locals and gaon burahs, were all in praise of the noble initiative taken by the Army towards providing the much needed medical care to the society.
