Directors of SRD Group of Companies, Mukul Chandra Deka, Rajib Kumar Deka (Mintu), Anupam Deka (Jonti) and Sagar Deka, with a broom in their hands took part in the campaign. Besides the employees of the company, a good number of citizens and media persons also took part in the cleanliness campaign.
Significantly, though the company had requested the Mangaldai Municipality Board to provide a tractor to carry the garbage, the civic body gave a negative reply which has created deep resentment here.
