Cleanliness drive at Mahur

HAFLONG, Oct 4: BASIC, a socio-cultural organisation of Mahur organised a cleanliness programme on first anniversary of Swach Bharat Mission on Gandhi Jayanti in presence of Block Dev Officer, Chief Executive Officer of Mahur Town Committee and many others at Mahur on Friday. After the cleanliness drive in the market area of Mahur town, a well attended meeting was also held wherein Juri Phukan, Deputy Commissioner of Dima Hasao attended as the chief guest. The BASIC society submitted a memorandum to DC Phukan highlighting the plights of Mahur people in regards to power crisis and demanded a degree college at Mahur considering the sufferings of the students of Mahur area.
