Cleanliness drive, awareness programme by National Disaster Response Force (NDRF): Itanagar

ITANAGAR, July 19: Continuing the Swachhta Phakhwada Awards 2018 a massive cleanliness drive and plantation programme was conducted by 12Bn NDRF, E, Company, at Government Middle School, Lorputung, Itanagar on Thursday. With an objective of spreading awareness on cleanliness among the students, teachers and local residents of Lorputung area. The 12 Bn NDRF team lead by sub-inspector Ram Singh Sani conducted a cleanliness drive and appealed to all participants to keep their area clean, green and hygienic. The NDRF personal beside cleanliness drive also carried out a plantation programme.

All together 20 NDRF Jawans, school staff and students participated in the programne and more the 10 saplings were planted in the school. On the other hand, a 4-day awareness programme on tackling natural calamity organised by the 12th BN NDRF concluded at community hall Pangin of East Siang district on Thursday. The workshop was initiated by the Deputy Commissioner Rahul Singh and 22th BN NDRF SI Ranvir Singh Pathania. The workshop demonstrated various tactics to be applied during any kind of disaster like flood rescue, evacuation, lifting and carrying method of first aid, CPR.
