Cleanliness drive by Powergrid on R-day

SHILLONG, Jan 29: During the 67th Republic Day Celebration, as a part of the ‘Clean India Movement’ initiative of Prime Minister rendra Modi, employees of Powergrid and their family members actively participated in the cleanliness drive organized at its regiol headquarter in Shillong January 26. With a view to maintain the hygiene and cleanliness in the campus, on earlier occasion also Powergrid has taken such initiative. Similar programme has also been planned under such initiative in the locality of Lapalang area of Shillong with involvement of local residents. Further, during this year’s Republic Day Celebration, similar initiative has also been undertaken at its various sub-stations located in the seven states of the Northeastern region, a press release stated on Friday.
