Cleanliness drive held in Sivasagar DC office

SIVASAGAR, April 9: As a part of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, a special cleanliness programme was organized by Sivasagar Zila Prashashan Karmachari Santha on Sunday. Under the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, the employees and officials of the Deputy Commissioner’s office carried out the cleanliness drive and plantation drive at the DC office premises, Circuit House and Lalit Rajkhowa Park.

Deputy Commissioner of Sivasagar Pallav Gopal Jha also took part in the drive. While addressing the employees and officials on the occasion, he applauded the Santha for coming forward for such a noble cause. He said that it was every citizen’s responsibility to keep the surroundings clean. He further urged the officials and employees to take a pledge to keep the surrounding and office premises clean, and not throw garbage here and there. He added that through contributing their bit they could bring a change and make the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan a grand success.

During the cleanliness programme, all the officials and employees of DC’s office were present and took the pledge to contribute their bit in the Swachchh Bharat Abhiyan by practicing it in their day-to-day life.
