Clear provident funds: KELQWU

SHILLONG, Aug 27: The Komorra Employees and Limestone Quarry’s Workers Union (KELQWU), along with Hynniewtrep Youth Council (HYC) from Riwar Shella Circle today submitted a memorandum to the Maging Director of Komorrah Lime Stone Ltd (KLCL) demanding that the magement should immediately clear their Provident Funds which has amounted to Rs 1.89 crores. Synrem allege that since there are plenty of irregularities in the company they have demanded that the magement should give them a written assurance on how they will tackle these problems faced by the employee of the company within a week’s time. “As per RTI findings, we found out that the company did not deposit the provident funds of the employees to the provident fund’s office since 1973 to 2014,” he said.
