Climbing fish found at Golaghat

GOLAGHAT (Dhekial), Dec 28: A rare species of large size Climbing (Kawai) Fish was recovered at Jamuguri of Golaghat on Wednesday.  The rare species of Climbing Fish was sold by a fisherman at Bhelengi Baazar which is 20 km away from Jamuguri in Golaghat town. The weight of the fish was about 500 gm. The fisherman caught the fish in Biyakorua Beel. A person bought the rare fish at Rs. 300 per kg. To have a look at this fish, a large number of people had gathered. In this area it is rare to find Climbing Fish of this size, they said.
