CM accords warm welcome to John Abraham

Itagar, Oct 24: Aruchal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu on Sunday accorded a warm welcome to Bollywood actor, John Abraham on his arrival at Tawang, who is also the ‘brand ambassador’ for the state.

The chief minister said the actor has great feelings for the North East. His feeling for the region is demonstrated through his keen interest in promoting North East talents outside the region, who owns a football club with the me - North East United FC.

Khandu was speaking to a large gathering in the Tawang festival ground, while introducing the actor to the crowd, an official release informed here today.

The chief minister said John is also keen to shoot films in Aruchal, to which the state government is ready to extend any kind of support and service that is needed.

He expressed hope that together with the actor, they should be able to promote Aruchal as one of the hot tourist destitions in the country and conveyed that people of Aruchal has now high hopes and expectations from him.

The chief minister also welcomed the representatives from the renowned intertiol tour operator, Cox and Kings Tours & Travels, and said that the state has started to join hands with renowned world agencies and business house for active tourism promotion in Aruchal. John, who arrived at the festival ground cheered by the crowd, thanked the people for choosing him as the brand ambassador for the state. He also thanked the government of Aruchal for being cooperative in setting up his works in Aruchal. The actor suggested that an academy for the North East United FC and an intertiol marathon club could be set up in the state, the release added.
