CM discusses minority issues

Tura, Aug 6: All Indian Congress Committee (AICC) Minority Department’s Observer for Meghalaya Rejaul Karim Laskar on Saturday met Meghalaya Chief Minister Mukul Sangma in Shillong. Laskar discussed with Sangma on the upcoming campaign strategy for the Congress party in the State. Laskar said in a release on Sunday that the role of minorities in the upcoming election was discussed at length. “It was agreed that the Minority Department will play a robust role in the election campaign in Meghalaya. They two leaders also agreed to take all the necessary measures to strengthen the department in Meghalaya so as to eble it to play the role envisaged for it,” said Laskar in the release.
