CM iugurates a mghar at Moran Blind School

Dibrugarh, September 11: Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi today formally iugurated a newly constructed mghar, a sacred worshiping place of the Assamese community at Moran Blind School, which was set up in the year 1971 by Major H.N. Banerjee.

Iugurating the mghar, Chief Minister Gogoi in his deliberation expressed his satisfaction over the iuguration of the mghar in the auspicious month

of Bhada, which is birth month of Sankardev and Madhadev ,  and said that their teachings teach us that humanity should be treated above every religion.

He further emphasized that love and affection should be the bonded force behind our human endeavors and pursuits.

The CM was of the view that greed is the evil of all enhancing conflict in the world.

Gogoi further emphasized that the ideals of Sankardev should be imbibed by us that would  not only help us to dedicate ourselves towards overall development of society.

Gogoi announced a dotion of  Rs 20 lakh towards the infrastructural development of the blind school.

Earlier the Chief Minister received a warm welcome by the students of Moran Blind School, when they performed tiol Anthem and then recited hymns from Sanskrit verses.

Artistes from Dima Hasao districts performed traditiol Dimasa dance, while the students of the Blind School staged a Bhao as part of the cultural event. In continuation of the cultural function, Xattriya artistes of Moran Sammailita Silpi Samaj   performed the traditiol Xattriya dance.

 The meeting was also graced by State Forest and Tourism Minister Etuwa Munda, former MP and president of Assam Cha Mazdoor Sangha Paban Singh Ghatowar, Chief Executive Member of Dima Hasao Autonomous Council (DHAC) Debojit Thaosan, State Secretary of Assam Branch of Indian Tea Association (ABITA) Sandeep Ghosh.

The Chairman of the Maging Committee of Moran Blind School and intertiolly acclaimed actor, Victor Banerjee welcomed  all the honored guests and others.
