CM iugurates college building in lbari

LBARI, Jan 29: Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi on Friday iugurated an administrative and academic building of Mahendra rayan Chowdhury Girls’ College at a simple function held at lbari.

Interacting with the students Gogoi called upon the students’ fraternity to take up the greater role in leading the society to the path of prosperity. He also said that education is a tool by which students can make a difference in the qualitative march of the society. Gogoi also stated, “Education has always been a priority area for our Government and we are emphasising adequately on vocatiol and professiol education to address the problem of unemployment in the State”. Gogoi, however said that though lbari has always been on the frontline in every field, industrialisation is the area where the Government will infuse its resources to expedite the process of setting up micro, small and medium enterprises.

Gogoi also announced a grant of Rs. 25 lakh for the development of the college which has been working relentlessly since 1971 in creating a large pool of human resources.
