CM iugurates PHE building at Mairang

SHILLONG, Oct 17: The Office building of the Executive Engineer (PHE), Mairang Division & Sub-Divisiol Office of Mairang Sub-Division at Mairang in West Khasi Hills district was iugurated today by Chief Minister Mukul Sangma. Speaking at the function, Sangma said that Mairang has been blessed with tural resources which need to be used to its fullest possible potentialities and added that people should shoulder the responsibilities to protect and preserve the tural resources and make it as the most live-able place.  He also said that Mairang being blessed with a good landscape and place of interests with proper infrastructure can be a tourist destition. According to the Chief Minister the present structure and the location of the office have been constructed in a good location which will eble the Department to perform well and serve the people better. He hoped that the Department will continue taking up the challenging task and serve the people in providing quality drinking water. Sangma further added that the Mairang – Ranigodown Road is in near completion and is slated to be completed by December this year.
