CM opens RCC bridge at Sopur

DIMORIA, June 15: In a bid to facilitate seamless movement of vehicles and people of Sopur Revenue Circle, Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi today iugurated an RCC Bridge and dedicated it to the service of the people at Sopur. The bridge constructed under Chief Minister’s Special Package for conversion of wooden bridges to RCC bridges has been built involving a project cost of Rs. 900 lakh. Speaking on the occasion,  Gogoi said that the RCC bridge, besides facilitating easy movement would be of immense help to the students and patients who otherwise had to toil hard to reach their respective destitions. He said since coming to power in 2001 the present State Government constructed more than 23 thousand kilometre road in the state besides constructing 3814 bridges. He also said that his government attaches special importance to the welfare of the farmers, widows and women and adopted special schemes for their development.
