CM praises missiories  for uplift of education

Itagar, Aug 31: Chief Minister Pema Khandu has lauded the Christian missiories for playing a major role in contributing to the growth of education among the downtrodden in Aruchal Pradesh.

He also appreciated the contribution of the RK Mission and VKV in uplifting education in the State, an official report said here on Thursday.

The Chief Minister acknowledged the contribution of the missiories while iugurating the Don Bosco College annex at Jollang on Wednesday, built with a corpus fund of Rs 5-crore that former CM Dorjee Khandu had sanctioned.

The Chief Minister has assured support from the government to all institutes that have contributed towards strengthening of education in the State.

Further addressing the grievances of the institute, Khandu announced a playground and flood protection scheme for the college to be included in the current fincial year.

Taking note of NITI Aayog’s observation of declining quality education in government schools despite increase of assets and teachers, he said that the State government is taking several steps towards achieving quality education.
