CM releases Rs 100-crore package for AMC&H development

Dibrugarh, Oct. 25 : The Chief Minister Sarbanda Sonowal in his recent Dibrugarh visit, has taken special initiative for all round development of the Assam Medical College and Hospital, the premier medical institution of the region.

Meanwhile, Sonowal has released 100 crore rupees package for infrastructure development of the AMC&H. A new three storeyed building will be constructed for blood bank, modular operation theatre and ICU. Under the same package, a modern morgue would be constructed besides a two three storeyed boys hostel having capacities of 575 boarders. The Chief Minister is also planning to raise third storey in existing  Dr Tosnial Ladies Hostel. Thorough repairing of causality, medicine, surgery paediatric, gyneacology and obsteriatic departments will be done. Steps has also been taken up under this package, for repairing of old boys and ladies hostel. The chief minister Sonowal in his recent tour to Dibrugarh visited the AMC&H recently and reviewed the present condition of the premier institution and interacted with the students, faculty members, employees and others.
