'CM should take responsibility of AWU students'

DEMOW, March 28: Following the State Government’s decision to convert the Assam Women’s University (AWU) into a technical institute, protests have been staged in different parts of the State. Reacting on the issue, Rabindra Ghosh, secretary of All Assam Bengali Youth Students’ Federation (AABYSF), Sivasagar District Committee, said that the State Education Minister and former Chief Minister were playing their dirty politics over Assam Women’s University.

He also added that the present Chief Minister and State Education Minister should take responsibility for the education of the students studying in Assam Women’s University. Raj Ghosh, secretary of AABYSF Demow Regiol Committee, demanded the State government to solve all the problems of Assam Women’s University and demanded that it should not be converted into a technical institute.
