CM Special Fund aid for ailing man’s treatment

Dibrugarh, July 9: The Chief Minister Special Fund came to the rescue of an impoverished person who was quite unwell for some time. The patient, Narayan Kurmi, and his parents, Ramchandra Kurmi and Sumita Kurmi, residents of Dikom Longso, were fighting against all odds trying to provide the best possible treatment. Things turned so bleak that the family had to sell its possessions and properties for the purpose. As news about the pitiable condition of the family spread, Lahoal MLA Rituparna Baruah paid a visit to the patient’s house on Sunday and handed over a cheque to the tune of Rs 35,000 for Kurmi’s treatment from the Chief Minister Special Fund. The family has expressed its gratitude for the gesture shown by the MLA.
