CM underscores creating an environment based on high moral values

mrup, July 22: Chief Minister Sarbanda Sonowal visited mrup on Friday to attend the golden jubilee celebration of Saragari Bormghar, mrup. Arriving at this industrial town of Assam, the Chief Minister paid his visit at Saragari Bormghar where he was warmly welcomed with traditiol Gayan-Bayan. After lighting of earthen lamp at Bormghar, Sonowal addressed the Vaishvite devotees and the people present there on the occasion. Speaking on the occasion, Sonowal recalled those great souls who established the Saraghari Bormghar. He also appealed all to follow the ideals of Srimanta Sankardeva to restore peace and harmony in the society. He also insisted on creating an environment based on high moral values with no violence, injustice and oppression, where the younger generations could inculcate the values of universal brotherhood.
A host of dignitaries, including ren Sonowal, MLA, 120 harkatia LAC, Tapan Kumar Gogoi, MLA, Sori,  Ritupar Baruah, MLA, Lahowal, Laya Maduri, Dibrugarh Deputy Commissioner, Ratul Bordoloi, MD, APL and Ranjit Baruah, State executive member, BJP were present. It was the sixth day of this grand celebration where various programmes like ‘Antaranga Alap; iuguration of souvenir, felicitation ceremony and prize distribution ceremony were held. A souvenir med Monikut was released by Debeshwar Saikia, while in the felicitation programme conducted by Pradip Kumar Baruah, 20 noted persolities of mrup were felicitated. In the prize distribution ceremony, dignitaries like Tapan Kumar Gogoi, MLA, Sori,  Ritupar Baruah, MLA, Lahowal, Hemkanta Mahanta, noted senior citizen, Shantisaya Saikia and Julia Begum were present. The golden jubilee celebration will conclude on July 23.
