CM urged to address grievances of people of Gashbari

GORESWAR, March 8: The local MLA of Kamalpur LAC, Satyabrata Kalita submitted a memorandum to Chief Minister Sarbanda Sonowal when he attended as chief guest the open meeting of the Gashbari High School golden jubilee celebration held at the school playground recently.

Satyabrata Kalita, as chief patron of the celebration committee of Gashbari High School golden  jubilee celebration committee, submitted a memorandum listing various demands of the people of Gashbari area under Kamalpur LAC. These include upgradation of Gashbari High School into higher secondary school (science stream) and its playground into a mini stadium, renovation  of the existing public auditorium and the existing damaged Bardangerikochi Veteriry dispensary, installation of police station and a tiol bank branch with ATM facility at Gashbari,  upgradation of Bardangerikochi branch post office into a sub-post office and Bardangerikochi health sub-centre into a mini primary health-centre with required number of doctors, nurses and pharmacists, construction of two RCC bridges instead of two damaged wooden bridges at Dorikajan near Khepkochi on Gashbari-Similabari-Andherighat PWD road, repair of other PWD roads of Gashbari area with bitumen and an Inspection Bungalow(IB) at Gashbari.

The people also demanded to set up a revenue circle office at Bihdiya Jajiko development block office area in North Kamrup  to mitigate the administration problems of the people of three mouzas –Patidarrang, Karara and Pub-Kacharymahal falling under Kamalpur LAC.
