CM’s demand for special status for Bihar pressure tactics: Tejashwi

Patna, May 30: Bihar’s opposition leader Tejashwi Yadav on Wednesday said Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s fresh demand for a special category status for the state is part of the pressure politics against its ally BJP, which is in power at the Centre. “You have stolen our mandate and now you are trying to play pressure politics against the Bharatiya Janata Party over our old demand for the special category status to Bihar,” the Rashtriya Janata Dal leader tweeted. Tejashwi said people were aware that Nitish Kumar had been gearing up to change sides again. “He is keen to prove that he has been working for Bihar’s development. He is looking for a chance to walk away from the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance,” he said. “But the truth is that he is concerned about his vote bank and his seat,” he added. (IANS)
