CM's free diagnostic services launched

Hailakandi, March 27: Chief Minister’s free diagnostic services was formally launched in SK Roy Civil Hospital in Hailakandi. The scheme was iugurated by Hailakandi MLA Anowar Hussain Laskar, Additiol Deputy Commissioner Ruth Lienthang and District BJP President Subrata Kumar th on Tuesday. 

The Chief Minister’s free diagnostic services is envisaged to ensure availability of minimum set of diagnostic services at government run health institutions. Under the programme, CT scan, X-Ray and laboratory services are provided free of cost to all irrespective of Above the Poverty Line (APL) or Below the Poverty Line (BPL) status citizens. MLA Laskar, while hailing the Government’s new initiative, urged the health practitioners to ensure quality in the service.

Terming the latest initiative of the State government as yet another remarkable step in the health sector, District BJP President, th said that the scheme would greatly benefit the poor and margilised segments of society. Additiol Deputy Commissioner, Lienthang asked the people to come forward to avail the laboratory services offered free of cost and to file complaint with the district administration if anyone asked for money, stated a press release.
