CMSS burns Governor's effigy for 'anti-secular' comments

From a Correspondent
Dibrugarh, November 23: The effigy of Assam Governor PB Acharya was  burnt  by more than 100 activists of Chatra Mukti Sangram Samiti (CMSS) here at Tha Chariali on Monday. The student activists, by burning the effigy, showed their relentless protest against the Assam Governor’s comments on commul lines that proved to be “anti-secular and against the democratic values of our country”. Governor PB Acharya recently had allegedly said that Bangladeshi Hindus had the right to stay in the country and if Muslims were not happy living here, then they could live in Pakistan.   The CMSS activists have flayed the Assam Governor for raising anti-commul feelings which they felt would spread intolerance and hatred among the communities.
