From a Correspondent

MARGHERITA, March 1: Chatra Mukti Sangram Samity (CMSS) Tinsukia District Committee president Lakhya Jyoti Gogoi has condemned and criticized the attack on students in Ramjas College under Delhi University by ABVP members on February 22 during a semir.

Lakhya Jyoti Gogoi said that after the formation of the BJP–led government at the Centre, attacks on students was going on all over the country and RSS affiliated student organization ABVP members are mainly involved in the attacks. He said that Gurmeher Kaur, a student of Lady Shri Ram College under Delhi University and a Kargil martyr’s daughter was getting regular rape threats by ABVP members, which indicated that their so–called patriotism would ruin the whole country and Prime Minister rendra Modi had turned into a mute spectator without taking any action against the ABVP members.

Rohith Vemula, Kanhaiya Kumar, Umar Khalid, Anirbaan Bhattacharyaa and now Gurmeher Kaur was being targeted by ABVP members which indicated that dictatorship and fascist policy would be forcibly implemented in our country, said Lakhya Jyoti Gogoi. “We warn ABVP members not to repeat the same again otherwise in the coming days, all the students of the country will join together in a movement against ABVP,” he added.
