CMSS demands repair of Agia-Lakhipur, Makri-Lakhipur roads

Goalpara, September 1: The Chatra Mukti Sangram Samiti (CMSS), student wing of Krishak Mukti Sangram Samiti (KMSS), staged a protest on Thursday outside the office of the Deputy Commissioner, Goalpara, demanding immediate repairing of the Agia-Lakhipur and Makri-Lakhipur connecting road.

Hundreds of students from different colleges and educatiol institutions gathered before the office under the supervision of CMSS and shouted slogans. The CMSS also threatened to launch more agitation unless their demand was fulfilled.

Both the roads, especially the Agia-Lakhipur road, are in very bad shape for last several years. And this is not the first time that the administration has witnessed mass protest demanding immediate repair of the roads.
