CMSS leader stages hunger strike

Lakhimpur, Jan 30: To demand a meeting with Prime Minister rendra Modi to discuss about the problems of big dams,flood and erosion in the north-eastern States, a hunger strike was staged by the fince secretary of Chatra Mukti Sangram Samiti (CMSS), Hiranya Pathori in front of the Lakhimpur DC office from Saturday. On behalf of CMSS, he is on a hunger strike since Saturday morning and he said that his fast will continue till his demand is fulfilled. Pathori said that the problems of Assam could not solved by the State Government which had already failed to find a solution since decades. His demands included the settlement of problems of flood and erosion in Assam and also to stop the Lower Subansiri Power Project.
